Where have We Been?

Hello everyone, It's been months since we've posted up here, and we are very sorry for that. But we're gradually getting back into our normal routine, and are hoping to come back with the blog first, and then the YouTube when we're more used to blogging. To answer the title question of this post, we have been very, very busy. For the first few months after we stopped writing, we had a lot of house related things to figure out. Then there was some drama that I won't go into, because it's over now and we don't like to remain stuck in the past. From June to October, we had a truly ... nightmarish ... person living in our house. I don't really want to go into all that, but for the sake of telling you where we've been, I will do so. This woman doesn't clean up after herself, had us all stressed out for 3 solid months, and is in general one of the most manipulative people we've ever met. We won't give her name here because ... we're far too nice for our own good. She was going to be homeless, needed a place to recover. We offered her a place to recover. The key word here being ... recover. Unfortunately, she was into the ... more ... wild ... part of energy healing. There are several stages we've found to one's belief in energy healing. Stage 1: This doesn't exist! It's not real! Stage 2: Okay, maybe it exists, but it won't help me. Stage 3: Ooh, this exists, it might help me, but I still need my medicines. (This is where it should ALWAYS stop in our opinion. It very rarely does) Stage 4: I ... may not need my medicines if I just do this energy healing thing all the time. Stage 5: I don't need medicines. I don't need doctors. I can just use hypnosis and energy to heal my existence, even if I have broken bones. The person who lived with us was deeply embedded in the mentality of what we refer to as “stage 5 energy usage”. It's not an official term, and it's not medical advice. It should not be taken as such. This woman had many mental health issues, including isolation and severe depression, along with some others I won't say for the sake of anonymity. Those who know us well know who we're talking about already. We asked her to get evaluated at the doctor, to get her state resources set up. She didn't do any of these things, and it was just, in general, a very stressful experience.

What's Next?

Good question, blogger voice in my head, and possibly person reading this. What's next is, repairing all the madness she caused. We've gotten the room she was in mostly fixed, though there are still some things we'd like to do to touch it up. Our main concern right now is the kitchen. We're going to have to replace a bunch of the dishes and probably a fair few of the pots and pans. But the silver lining, if one can call it that, is that once it's done, it won't be happening again. We're not letting anyone else come to live with us now ... and if we do it'll have to be someone we know really well or someone who's been thoroughly vetted. We enjoy helping people, but we can't hurt ourselves to do it. There was a whole lot more to the situation with she who will not be named living here, but I don't have the mental energy to type all that out again. I've told the story to a bunch of the people we know. Suffice it to say, next time someone says they can cook, clean and help you run a household, have them prove it BEFORE you help them into your house and can't get them to leave for shit. We'll leave that there for now.

Future Plans

After we get the house fully fixed, which will likely take a few solid weeks more of work, we're going to have to do a bunch more stuff. We need to get a better streaming setup so we can do our YouTube streams more effectively, but assuming we can make it behave, we'll stream for you guys at some point on this computer. Sometime in the new year, we'd like to go for some online courses, and possibly our GED finally, because we need that for pretty much any job. I'd quite like a job, I'm sick and tired of having to ask for money from people on the internet, it makes me feel ... small. Someday I'd like to be the one doing the helping. But I have to get my life in order before that can even begin to happen. That's going to mean a lot of doctor appointments, and a whole bunch of life changes. We'll keep you posted as best we can. We're hoping to be able to write more as time goes on, like we said earlier. We're quite a bit more rambling than we used to be, but in a way that's good, it makes for more material.

Closing

We hope you've enjoyed or gotten something out of today's blog post. We may be back to write later, especially if our brain remains in this hyperactive state it's in right now. If not later today, we'll try and come back to write tomorrow, depending on how busy we are with things around the house. This is a new section that we've decided to put in as of 11/08/2025. Here, we've listed all our other links of interest, which you may find neat to visit. Visit Our Youtube Here Visit our LinkTree here The linktree has many interesting things on it, and also links back to this blog. Visit our shopping page here What is this? This is an aggregated page of all the Amazon products we enjoy or have enjoyed in the past. We use the name Life Upgraded (now Cadence's Finds) on there because we feel the products we've bought and recommend on this page have upgraded our life significantly. This next part is something we have to put near any page recommending product links for legal reasons. We are not pushing our links on anybody, but they're there if you want to see them. Note: I am an Amazon Affiliate. If you choose to buy any of the products listed on any of the pages above, I may make a commission from such purchases.
