Update, 11/09/2025

Hello everyone, We didn't end up coming back to write last night, but we're back today. We were busy cleaning the house with the help of some of our sighted friends. They're very nice people, and come out to chill with us and help us out with some things from time to time. I don't know if they like their names being put out there on someone's blog, so I won't give their names here, but they are quite nice, and helped Z and us clean the kitchen a bunch. There's still lots of work to be done, but slow progress is better than no progress, as they say. In news not related to the house, we are gradually getting back into our games, more Hearthstone than anything else. We'll be getting back into our Forza as well, but in the meantime, are hoping to be able to do a stream for you sometime in the next few days. Probably not today or tomorrow, because we still have a lot more cleaning to do, but possibly Tuesday if we have some free time. For those who follow us on Mastodon, stay tuned to that space for updates and links. The main link to the channel itself is as always in the bottom of our freshly updated (as of yesterday) signature.

I know this is probably confusing to a lot of you. For those who read our blog and have done so for months or a year now, an extra block of text just appeared on the bottom of every post. That block of text is a bunch of links we are also putting content up on. We did our best to explain them in the signature, but we'll elaborate a bit more here.

The YouTube Page

It's a bit ... obvious what this link does, but for the sake of continuity and covering all bases, we'll put it in here anyway. This is the link to our main YouTube channel. We are ashamed to admit that we haven't posted anything up there in quite some time, but I'll take a look through the archives and see if I didn't, by chance, save some old recordings from July or August, before things got ridiculous, and throw those up there for you all to listen to.

The LinkTree

First, what is a Link Tree, someone who is unfamiliar with the concept may be asking? This is basically a page that shows all our links, with no other text elements, none of that. Each of them is labeled, but other than that, there is no text around them, none of that. Our twitch and a few other things are linked up there, but usually if we're going to use Twitch we post that link for your convenience on our Mastodon, which is also linked in the signature.

The Kit Page

We explained a little bit about what this is next to the link, but for ease of readability we'll type out a bit of a blurb about that here as well. The Kit page is a place where we've linked all our Amazon affiliate referral links.

Fair and valid question. The plain and simple answer is, I can't find a job right now. I've tried to apply for various jobs, tried to get into a lot of the platforms that supposedly pay you to do various tasks. Very few of them are accessible to visually impaired people, and sad as it is to say, very few companies, even in America, hell, especially in America, want disabled people working with them anymore because of our friendly neighborhood President. Back to the topic at hand, however. Why have I chosen to pass out Amazon links? I chose to do this, not mainly because of the commission, though as I'm always honest with my readers, yes, that was a factor. But I chose to do this because we get people coming to us constantly, asking what products we would recommend for various things. The kit page, listed below, under the name Life Upgraded, is a space where I list the products we've tried personally, even if we haven't bought them directly from Amazon ourselves for various reasons. Putting the link in my posts is not meant to push you to buy anything. It is meant to give you a place to look for the things we use, and buy them via our link, if you wish to buy them, and if you wish to support us while doing it. Disclaimer. Future Plans

As mentioned above, we are hoping to be able to do a stream for you in the near future, but at the very least, plan to come back with blog posts every day or every few days. We make no guarantees as to a proper posting schedule right now because there's still a lot we have to get done in our physical space, but we will post updates when we can. If we can manage it, we'll get back into the audio posts we would make for you on YouTube. For those who haven't seen one of our audio posts yet, they're basically similar to this blog in a verbal form. We don't read out loud from the blog or anything, but will cover similar topics, more in line with our gaming and accessibility audience than the general ramblings of the blog. For those of you who have been with us since the beginning, you've seen the blog in all its phases. Plurality rambling space, goal setting space, absolutely nothing for a bit there, and we still feel bad for that ... but we're hoping to bring back the general atmosphere of the blog over the next few weeks to months, along with the YouTube. But since we're a bit better at writing in between times, we've started with this first, in hopes we can take it somewhere.
