While Lake Garda is an outdoor lovers’ paradise with plenty to do (from cruising in a motorboat or sailing yacht to taking a windsurfing lesson and hiking up high peaks), you can also spend the afternoon sunbathing on a beach. Still others, like the one in Toscolano Maderno or the Spiaggia Baia delle Sirene in San Felice del Benaco are ideal for spending some time in tranquility with a good book.
Moreover, since many of the Lake Garda beaches have limited parking space during the summer (which can quickly fill up), it’s advisable to visit them later in the day when people are heading back to their hotels or houses and freeing up spots. And don’t forget to double-check the opening hours of the beach cubs and access to the beaches the day before you plan on going.
