<![CDATA[Low bar...

This post was created as a counterpoint to the "green-ish" meme that seems endemic. An article I breezed past started with the author stating they were "green-ish" and listed a couple things; occasionally rides a bike to work and eats organic and that seems to be about it.

This VERY low bar is quite the problem as it ignores the very real fact its meaningless. Its quite one thing if they are on a journey and taking time to get there but alas that often does not seem to be the case at all. It order not to be greenwashing, you need to be cognizant that sustainability is the end game, if not it becomes meaningless. The sustainable definition is a little.. ephemeral, so my definition is, if we all (as in 8 Billion people) did it could the biosphere still function.

EXPAND ON THIS

An allegory to elucidate, a billionaire is thinking about buying 2 new Lamborghinis, decides he should be green-ish and only buys the one.

]]>
