Turkish Criminal Record Certificate from Abroad
A Turkish criminal record certificate may be required for immigration, employment, citizenship, residence or professional procedures in another country. Turkish citizens and foreign nationals who previously lived in Turkey may need to obtain this document even when they are currently residing abroad.
The application method depends on the applicant’s access to Turkish online services, nationality and the requirements of the receiving authority. Where the document will be used internationally, an apostille, certified translation or consular legalisation may also be necessary. Tuva Law’s guide explains how to obtain a Turkish criminal record from abroad with apostille and which practical issues should be checked before applying.
Applicants should confirm whether an electronic or physical certificate is accepted, how recently it must have been issued and whether the apostille and certificate must both be translated. Reviewing these requirements in advance can prevent delays, repeated applications and unnecessary certification expenses.
