By 1992, the company recognized the increasing demand for a wider range of power solutions. WBO expanded its product line to include batteries for nearly every application. This strategic move helped solidify the company as a go-to source for individuals and businesses seeking dependable energy solutions. The true transformation, however, began in 1995 when Ralph’s son joined the business. His vision and drive shifted the company from a primarily retail focus into a thriving wholesale and retail distributorship.
Over time, more family members joined the operation, including Ralph’s son-in-law, daughter, and daughter-in-law. This close-knit family team became the driving force behind the company’s growth. Their combined efforts not only expanded the business but also strengthened its core values of customer service, integrity, and reliability.
The year 2001 marked a milestone when WBO purchased a larger facility on 14th Street in Quakertown, just a block from the original location. This expansion allowed the company to handle larger volumes and diversify its offerings further. As technology advanced, WBO also invested in specialized equipment to rebuild rechargeable battery packs, such as those for drills, and to design custom packs for unique applications, including prototypes for military use.
WBO’s growth did not stop there. By 2011, the company undertook another expansion, adding 8,100 square feet of warehouse space, bringing the facility to about 13,000 square feet in total. This expansion positioned WBO to better meet the increasing demand in a fast-paced, portable world where batteries power nearly every aspect of daily life.
