SAND LAND Review
Sand Land has received much hype since its release from Akira Toriyama's mind – the legendary creator of Dragon Ball – and fans have been waiting for a sequel for a long time. But is Sand Land an intriguing new action RPG with great promise or is it best left uncovered by us explorers? First things first. Sand Land takes place in an imaginative world imagined by Akira Toriyama himself; fans should expect his trademark whimsical character design and quirky humor scattered throughout this desert landscape. But don't expect just another carbon copy of Dragon Ball; Sand Land offers its own distinct visual style which blends familiar elements with unique fantasy elements to produce something entirely novel yet instantly familiar at the same time.
Sand Land stands as an exciting breath of fresh air among licensed games, providing a charming open-world adventure full of depth. Although combat might not appeal to everyone, its exploration, quirky characters, and compelling story make Sand Land an amazing find waiting to be unearthed – even now in 2024, Sand Land retains much of the nostalgic charm from when PlayStation 2 first debuted! So if you want an epic post-apocalyptic journey filled with personality then grab your ship and dive headfirst into Sand Land; it won't disappoint.
Not Reminiscent of Dragon Ball (But with Familiar Elements)
Sand Land, an open-world action RPG from ILCA and Bandai Namco Entertainment has finally hit shelves, promising players access to Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball). However, players shouldn't expect it to serve as a direct sequel to Dragon Ball (even if we definitely recommend them both to those looking for cheap Xbox games); although both feature his distinctive aesthetic as well as an affinity for fantastical creatures in both series, Sand Land forges its own path through its desolate dunes.
While Dragon Ball is known for its fast-paced martial arts battles and iconic characters like Goku and Vegeta, Sand Land takes an unconventional route: narrative storytelling. Beelzebub may bring back nostalgic feelings but his story delves deeper, exploring resilience and redemption against an increasingly harsh desert environment. What truly distinguishes Sand Land is its emphasis on character growth over power levels alone.
Exploration and Vehicular Combat
With hidden caverns hiding beneath shifting sands but offering glittering rewards, Sand Land is a good exploration game; every discovery feels like an accomplishment in terms of exploring prowess. Sand Land may not revolutionize the open-world genre with revolutionary mechanics, but what sets it apart from similar titles is its focus on vehicle warfare. Remember those hulking tanks and agile motorbikes from the trailer? Buckle up! Now these bad boys become your desert mounts – upgrade their firepower, armor, or paintwork as necessary and create your ideal desert war machine! Imagine blasting across dunes in a neon pink tank equipped with a flamethrower – pure desert domination indeed...
Exploration enthusiasts feel their adrenaline surge as the expansive desert calls them forward – whether on tanks, motorbikes, or even jump-bots (reveling in vertical exploration possibilities!). Customization enthusiasts rejoice – Beelzebub's abilities as well as vehicles seem modifiable adding strategic layers of gameplay when exploring and combat. However, we remain uncertain as to the enemy variety; whether we will encounter anything more unique than giant sandworms and mechanical monstrosities to ensure compelling combat experiences? Repetitive combat would be an immense waste given all that lies within the Sand Land world's vast potential!
